Two nonprofits, Guidestar and the Foundation Center, have merged to form Candid.

Baruch's subscription to this directory, previously paid for by a non-library office at Baruch, has been discontinued by that office due to cost and low usage.

Baruch students and faculty have access to is a free "quick start" to search the directory that requires a free registration.  One may search for foundations and retrieve information, including the Form 990s filed with the Internal Revenue Service.

In addition to Guidestar, to which Baruch has  paid "pro" subscription and the Foundation Center, to which Baruch's access is limited to free information, the following organizations offer information on nonprofit organizations:  Some information is available for free while many of the sties offer more information to members.
