If the information in this free version is not adequate, if you have a New York Public Library card, you may access this resource from home. You will need to search the library's catalog for the title Yearbook of International Organizations and provide your library card number and password.
GuideStar Pro enables Baruch users to create free accounts within Guidestar which enable research to be saved. GuideStar Pro offers more search options than a free version. GuideStar and GuideStar Pro are provided by Candid, a New York nonprofit formed two years ago when The Foundation Center and Guidestar merged.
Once you are logged onto the database, select Advanced Search. Select Company Lookup and then Nonprofit.
Enter the name of the nonprofit, or searching "contains" followed by a word like "wildlife" will retrieve audited nonprofits with "wildlife" in their names. While many are limited to the United States, some are international organizations. Searches of contains "international" or "world" will also retrieve organizations that may only be in the United States.
