Newman library contains a wealth of print and eBooks on specific industries. These may focus on aspects of the industry or provide a history of the industry.
Click on Books and Advanced Search in the Define Your Search box. Select "books" as the Material Type (on the right side of the screen) and type in your industry name in the search box (without the word industry).
When you find a relevant result, check the record for the subject term(s) under "Details" and click the relevant term for more precise results.
Many sources of industry information and data require you to define your industry using NAICS.
NAICS codes are used by the government and publishers to organize and present industry data. Most of the sources of industry ratios for example, use NAICS.
Historical data may be presented using SIC codes, the original U.S. industry classification system.
