Baruch staff and faculty will read selected chapters from Slavery's Descendants: Shared Legacies of Race and Reconciliation on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will facilitate discussions about the chapters in which descendants of the enslaved and enslavers share their experiences.

Author and journalist Dionne Ford
A co-editor of Slavery's Descendants: Shared Legacies of Race & Reconciliation, Dionne Ford is a descendant of both the enslaved and enslavers.
The author and journalist is a member of the nonprofit organization Coming to the Table. She will discuss the work of this national organization, with chapters in New York, to bring together descendants of the enslaved and enslavers to share their histories, to build communities, to heal and to move toward eliminating racial inequality, injustice and oppression.
