Use synonyms.
Connect synonyms with “or” and enclose them in parentheses.
Select a data range (the default of "last three months" may not go back far enough for you.)
Scroll down for "More Options" if you want to search for your terms in the full article or just in the headlines and lead paragraphs.

Use N# to search for phrases. For instance, N5 allows the system to search for 2 terms within 5 words of each other. The order of the 2 words doesn't matter.

There are several other ways to create a more precise search. Below are 2 examples:

Restricting your term to the headline (title) or lead paragraph often ensures article are about your term rather than just mentioning it within the article.
EXAMPLE:
In the free text search box, type:
hlp=tesla
atleast#
Using atleast# (where you specify the number) ensures that each article mentions your term at least # times. Remember that the higher the number you chose, the fewer articles you will retrieve.
EXAMPLE:
hlp=tesla and atleast3 battery
In the search above, we are looking for articles with "tesla" in the headline or lead paragraph where the article mentions "battery" at least 3 times.
