Creating collections and organizing your library:


In your Zotero library window on the left side you will find a folder called My Library. The My Library folder contains everything you have ever saved.  When it its selected, everything that is in your library shows up in the center panel of this screen:

To create a new collection, click on the icon that is in the top upper left corner of the Zotero pane which looks like a folder with a green plus symbol on it:undefined. Give the collection a name and it will appear below your My Library folder.




You can drag and drop items from My Library (the center panel) into any collections that you create. Items can be in stored multiple collections at the same time. If you highlight a collection, it will remain as your default storage location while you have the Zotero window open.
