STEP 1: Using the APA PsycInfo database (see link below), type "interpersonal spacing" (with quotation marks) in the search box
STEP 2: In the "Limit your results" section below, click the checkbox for "Peer Reviewed"
STEP 3: Click the "Search" button
According to the APA, it is a "study based on facts, systematic observation, or experiment, rather than theory or general philosophical principle."
STEP 1: Enter your search terms
STEP 2: Scroll down to the "Publication Type" box and select "Peer Reviewed Journal"
STEP 3: Scroll down to the "Methodology" box and pick "Empirical Study"
STEP 4: Click the "Search" button
According to the APA, it is a "survey of previously published literature on a particular topic to define and clarify a particular problem; summarize previous investigations; identify relations, contradictions, gaps, and inconsistencies in the literature; and suggest the next step in solving the problem."

STEP 3: In the "Methodology" section, select "Literature Review"
OTHER OPTIONS: In the "Methodology" section, select "Systematic Review" or "Meta Analysis"
