Reference Desk, 2nd floor
Research Help is offered at the reference desk on the second floor, and online through Ask A Librarian. Graduate students can request an individualized research consultation by contacting Linda Rath or by Scheduling a Research Consultation.
Graduate Computer Workstations: 12 computer workstations reserved for graduate students are located on the 2nd floor of the library. Log-on using your Baruch username and password. Please note, graduate students can use the other computers located on the 2nd floor and in computing labs on campus.
Laptop Loan Program: Laptop computers are available for use in the library and at home for limited periods. The Laptop Loan desk is located on the 3rd floor. Check the library's catalog for laptop availabilty or ask for details at the Laptop Loan Desk. (During the summer months, the Laptop Loan desk is relocated to the 2nd floor Circulation/Reserve Desk.)
Intra CUNY borrowing (CLICS) allows you to request and hold circulating materials held at other CUNY libraries. Materials can be delivered to any CUNY library you choose. You can request items through the library’s catalog, using the orange "Request a Copy" button. Ask for details at the Circulation Desk or Reference Desk.
Inter-Library Loan (also known as ILL) is available for books or journal articles not owned or accessible at Baruch, but we may be able to borrow from other libraries outside of CUNY. Before requesting an ILL, please check that the library neither owns the item nor has access to it via our electronic subscriptions.
Scanning and Printing: Students receive a limited allocation of printing at the beginning of every semester. Network printers are located in Room 238 near the Reference Desk and throughout the 2nd floor of the library, and in BCTC computing labs. A color printer is located in the 6th floor computing lab. Scanners are located on the 2nd floor of the library and in the 6th floor BCTC lab. Use your Baruch username and password to log on to networked printers & scanners. If you need to add money to your printing account, use the Self Service Print Account Management Kiosk near the Reference Desk or in the 6th floor BCTC lab.
