Teaching & Research Consultation Forms - Winter & Spring 2025For the purpose of reporting, include each each research consulation and teaching session with as much detail as the form fields provide (as possible). If you taught multiple sections of a class for a professor, please include each section.
Research Consultations are reference interactions (a Newman librarian’s response to a current information need) that take place outside the Newman’s library’s reference schedule for the Reference Desk and Digital Reference. Research Consultations can be provided to individuals or groups comprised of Baruch students, faculty, staff, as well as other CUNY-affiliated or non-CUNY patrons involving the Newman Library or a Newman Librarian’s information expertise.
Non-credit course Teaching / Instruction are formal library instruction sessions initiated by an instructor, or programming designed by Newman library staff, in anticipation of an information need. These sessions include workshops, course-related lectures, information sessions, or any other lecture-based programming designed and delivered by the Newman library staff outside the Library’s credit courses.
