Introduction

This guide is a starting point to find information about chemistry.

First, use an encyclopedia or a dictionary for an introduction to the topic. Encyclopedias can help define or narrow a topic.

Second, look for articles and books. Articles in databases focus on recent explanations of a topic. Books can be found in the Newman Library catalog.

Third, try the suggested web sites. Select other reliable sources by asking, did an individual or group with expertise prepare the web site?
