This guide is a starting point for finding information about biology and environmental studies.

First, use an encyclopedia or a dictionary for an introduction to the topic. Encyclopedias can help define or narrow a large topic.

Second, look for articles and books. Articles from databases focus on recent explorations of a topic. Books can be found in the Newman Library catalog.

Third, try the suggested web sites. Select other reliable sources by asking, "Did an individual or group with expertise prepare the web site?"
