FactSet offers comprehensive real-time and historial data and analytics on global financial and economic markets and securities. This includes core private and public company data and other securities, event and market-driven information, news, analytics, and portfolio management capabilities.

Excel Icon​  FactSet Excel Addin: Registered users may also download and install an excel add-in for FactSet.

  • Launch the Download website
  • Select the download link under the General Release section - choose either 32 or 64-bit depending on your version of Office
  • Once the MSI has downloaded, double-click the file and click through the Next, Install and Finish buttons.
  • After the installation is complete, a FactSet Authentication box will pop up for you to type in your factset.net ID and click Continue.
  • A one-time passcode will be emailed to your university email address.

FactSet Learning Portal

Education Icon Students and faculty may augment their learning experience or curriculum via the FactSet Learning portal. FactSet Learning offers live training, and archived eLearning Courses on a slew of financial and market-driven topics, as well as using theFactSet system.

Certification in FactSet Learning

  • Core Certification will teach students how to use FactSet’s analyze tools for multiple asset classes. There are five components. Each component contains an eLearning module and a quiz. The final exam covers content across all components and must be successfully completed to earn the Core Certification.
    1. Navigating FactSet,
    2. Staying on Top of the Markets,
    3. Equities,
    4. Fixed Income,
    5. and completion of the FactSet Core Certification Exam

 

  • Financial Modeling Certification requires 40+ hours of self-paced study of web-based content and practice materials. This includes 19 chapters covering the basics of Excel, accounting, and finance and culminates with the construction of complex financial model. Each chapter ends with a quiz, the results of which must achieve a 70% or higher to be considered a passing score.
