HR Issues: Managing Millennials

Who are the Millennials?

Millennials were born between 1981 and 1996 and are now 22 to 37 years old. They are the first generation to come of age in the new millennium. Millennials are also sometimes called Generation Y or the Echo Boomers.

The Pew Research Center in a recent study (March 2018) wrote about "Defining generations: Where Millennials end and post-Millennials begin."  Find reports and data on the Millennial generation from Pew Research.

For a demographic profile of the millennial generation, the demographer and Brookings Institution researcher Peter Frey, writes about "Millennials Under the Microscope" in the October 2018 issue of the Milken Institute Review.
