Disability Studies Subject Headings

In OneSearch and in the traditional Book Catalog you can focus your search by changing "All Fields" to "Subject" and type in your desired subject. Some examples of Disability Studies related subject terms:

  • Disability studies
  • People with disabilities
  • Children with disabilities
  • Students with disabilities
  • Blind
  • Deaf
  • Hearing disorders
  • Movement disorders
  • Learning disabled
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Discrimination against people with disabilities
  • Computers and people with visual disabilities

Subject headings may drill down to more specific topics. For example, People with disabilities includes the following sub-topics:

  • People with disabilities -- History
  • People with disabilities -- Legal status, laws, etc.
  • People with disabilities -- Social conditions
  • People with disabilities -- United States -- Statistics
